Game – “Good King, May I?”
- Played like mother may I. Have the king or queen sit in a “throne” (chair), while everyone else lines up at the opposite end. The children take turns asking "Good King (Queen), may I ____?" and makes a movement suggestion (big steps, baby steps, tip-toe steps, frog steps, jumps, hops, crabwalk, crawl, etc.). For example, one might ask, "Good King, may I take five giant steps forward?" The king either replies "Yes, you may" or "No, you may not, but you may _____ instead" and inserts his/her own suggestion. All of the child make the same motions no matter who asked the question.
