What is Cherub Church you ask?

Cherub Church is St. Jude's Religious Education Preschool Program, offered during the 10:30 Mass in the early childhood area of the Parish Center basement. Preschoolers, ages 3 to 6, engage in interactive activities to reinforce the Bible point of the day. Through this program, preschoolers develop a sense of community and belonging to the parish of St. Jude.

Game – “Faithful Followers”

  • Divide children into two groups.  Give each child two or three stickers that are different colors.  Tell them to put the stickers on their hands and/or feet.  Once they have the stickers on call out color combinations such as “blue to yellow.”  One group will have to find a person on the other team and touch those colors together.

Art – Crown of thorns

  • Roll dough into long shape and form circle.  Insert toothpicks.

Story Magnifier – Crosses

  • Decorate a paper cross with stamps.
