What is Cherub Church you ask?

Cherub Church is St. Jude's Religious Education Preschool Program, offered during the 10:30 Mass in the early childhood area of the Parish Center basement. Preschoolers, ages 3 to 6, engage in interactive activities to reinforce the Bible point of the day. Through this program, preschoolers develop a sense of community and belonging to the parish of St. Jude.

Creation Day 4 & 5: St. Francis

Story - Brother Sun, Sister Moon

Song – “Mr. Sun”

Song – “Deep and Wide”

Game – “Animal Charades”

  • One child to picks out an animal cracker out of the box, so no one can see. The child turns away from the others and eats the cracker. Now, the child "becomes" that animal and pretends to be it through motions. The other children must guess what animal it is. If allergies are present, whisper animals in the ear of the child.

Story Magnifier – The Sky

  • Using Chalk on dark paper, draw the moon, stars, constellations, or anything else in the night sky. 

Art – Nature Collage Cat

  • St. Francis celebrated everything God created in his prayer.
  • Decorate the cat outline with crumpled leaves and other goodness that God created.
