- As a child, Patrick was taken to Ireland. After praying to God to send him home, he began to miss Ireland and came back as a Priest to spread God’s love.
- Divide the kids into three groups (just like the holy trinity). Hand each child an Irish flag. The first child in each group runs their flag to a basket, then slithers (like the snakes that Patrick told to leave Ireland) through the tunnel to tag the next person in their group.
Story Magnifier – Playdough Churches
- When Patrick returned to Ireland, he told people about God and built churches.
- Use the green playdough to make a church, symbol of God, or something else from our story today. Note: playdough is not going home, just being used.
Art – Holy Trinity Crosses
- Patrick used a shamrock to teach people about God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. Just like when we make the Sign of the Cross, we say the holy trinity.
- Glue the cross onto the shamrock and a heart for each part of the Holy Trinity.
