Game – Helper or Holdout
- Place bandages and construction paper rectangles in a paper bag. Sit a doll in the middle of the play area to be the Samarian. Each child takes an item from the bag. If the child gets a piece of paper they run past the Samarian. If the child gets a bandage, they help the Samarian. (can also be a running/tagging game with the Samarians tagging the passers)
Story Magnifier – Going to Jericho
- A man travelling from Jerusalem to Jericho was robbed and left on the side of the road. Only a person from Samaria stopped to help him.
- You will be traveling to Jericho. Once one person gets there, you will encourage the other player to get there too. Older children use a die and roll a number to move. Younger children use the colored cards to move.
Art – Good Hands
- Our hands can be used for good and helping others.
- Trace your hand and decorate it. Once decorated add a Band-Aid to remember to help those that are hurting (inside or out).
